The Mortlake Road complex, the base for 27 professional firefighters and about 70 Warrnambool brigade volunteers, is staffed around the clock.
The centre was operational from March 31 but state, local government and CFA officials will formally open the station on Sunday.
The headquarters houses at least two pumper units, an aerial pumper and a hazardous materials unit.
