Queen Of Zealand is the first runner for Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne since she was granted a trainers-jockeys licence last month.
The $1 million Crown Oaks at Flemington on November 3 is the target race for the lightly raced three year-old who has had two starts in New Zealand.
Payne was awarded the prestigious ‘The Don’ award by the Sport Australia Hall of Fame on Thursday night.
'The Don' award is widely regarded as Australia’s leading contemporary sporting award and is named in honour of Australian sporting legend and first Sport Australia Hall of Fame Inductee, the late Sir Donald Bradman AC.
Warrnambool Racing Club racecourse manager Daniel Lumsden rates the track for Sunday's eight-race program a heavy eight with the first race scheduled for 1.25pm.
