South-west audiences may be familiar with Bourne’s six-string virtuosity as an occasional member of local outfit Tank Dilemma (he can be heard on their most recent album Having Said That, Let Me Say This).
On Sunday he brings the Shannon Bourne Band to the Hotel Warrnambool from 3pm.
When not doing his own material or paying tribute to Hendrix and Cream, Bourne plays regularly with Chris Wilson, but also played on (and co-wrote songs for) Russell Morris’ last three albums, and has toured with Richard Thompson, Tony Joe White, Bob Brozman, John Butler, The Waifs, and the Helpmann Award-winning Man In Black show with Tex Perkins, and worked with Broderick Smith, John Schumann, Vanessa Amorosi, The Black Sorrows, Matt Walker and more.
