Friday night will see the beginning of the under 15s competition with the under 13s to play their first game on Saturday morning.
The first round of the under 17s was played on Tuesday night with Allansford defeating Koroit, Brierly-Christ Church too good for Merrivale and Nestles defeating Woodford.
A feature of the opening round was the debut of the Grassmere team.
They headed out to Nirranda to take on the Knights and lost by nine wickets.
The individual highlight of the round came from Koroit all-rounder Tayne McDonald.
While the Saints lost to Allansford by one run, McDonald had a night to remember, capturing a hat-trick.
His first two wickets were caught while his hat-trick ball was right on the mark, sneaking past the bat and cannoning into the stumps.
