Proceeds from the ball will be presented to Lifeline South West Vic and Peter’s Project representatives this week.
Ball committee member Bernie Price said the money raised was slightly up on previous figures.
“We thank everyone again for supporting it in its fifth year,” she said.
Mrs Price said since the ball’s inception, it had raised in excess of $165,000 for local charities.
Lifeline fundraising and sustainability manager Bess Slater said the money would help fund its suicide prevention and crisis support call back service Connect.
“We’re very excited they’ve been able to raise that much money for both charities,” Ms Slater said.
Peter’s Project founder Vicki Jellie said the money had funded a minus-80 degree freezer, used for clinical trials at the South West Regional Cancer Centre.
