Carlin (Terang Mortlake) and Chatfield (Koroit) played for Vic Country in its three AFL under 16 national championships matches.
Vic Country wrapped up its campaign on the Gold Coast on Friday, suffering a 15.11 (101) to 6.9 (45) loss to South Australia. It won its first match against Vic Metro at Simonds Stadium before falling to Western Australia in its second game. Vic Country general manager Jock Whiting said Carlin and Chatfield played solid roles in defence and attack respectively.
