“Star Wars had a pretty big impact on the way I grew up and saw the world,” he said.
Initially nervous about what Disney and director JJ Abrams would do with George Lucas’ universe, Mr South said the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens had won him over.
“My expectations are pretty high,” he admitted.
“Even if it bombs, I’m probably still going to love it because it’s Star Wars.”
Warrnambool’s Capitol Cinema general manager Greg Gent said Wednesday’s screening was on two screens with both selling fast, with tickets also selling well for Thursday’s screenings.
