The Standard understands a worker from Ukraine has made a complaint to the ombudsman about overtime penalty rates.
“I was alerted to this matter by the Fair Work Ombusdman in May this year,” Mrs Britnell said.
“We are awaiting advice from Fair Work to have this matter finalised.”
It’s understood the complainant has returned to Ukraine.
The Britnells have significant land holdings in the Koroit and Woolsthorpe area and run three dairy farms.
It’s understood they often employ international workers under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa.
During her campaign, Mrs Britnell has pledged to establish a jobs task force to generate local employment.
