EX-Penshurst spearhead Darren Ewing is celebrating NEAFL premiership success with NT Thunder. Ewing, 28, kicked three goals and featured among the best players in the thrilling 11.15 (81) to 11.14 (80) victory against Brisbane-based Aspley. Gavin Grose had a chance to win the match for Aspley on the siren with his side two points down, but his boundary-line shot sprayed wide. “Definitely one of the toughest matches I’ve played in,” Ewing told the NT News.
