Petits Filou's victory over Super Cash and Take Pride was the first leg of a winning double for Maher. His other winner was the lightly raced colt Bon Aurum in the $120,000 Pin and Win Stakes over 1400 metres.
Maher said Petits Filou had done a wonderful job in her first racing campaign.
"She's won four from four and kept on improving," Maher said.
"We've lifted the bar four times and each time and she's kept on jumping the bar.
“Petits Filou looked like she settled a little better today. She put them away pretty easy.”
Maher, who paid $65,000 for Petits Filou at the 2014 Inglis Yearling Summer sale has now earned more than $270,000 in stake money.
He said she was a nice walking individual when he purchased her at the yearling sale.
"She was just a very nice mover at the yearling sale. She appeared to be strong. I just thought if I gave her a bit of time she will develop into a nice type and she is now," he said.
"She's been running quick times in her four wins which is a great sign. There's not many horses that win four consecutive races in town."
Maher indicated he may run Petits Filou in the Group 1 $500,000 Coolmore Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on October 31.
Bon Aurum could run in the group 3 $175,000 Caulfield Guineas Prelude over 1400m at Caulfield on September 26 after travelling wide to beat Lizard Island and El Greco in the Pin And Win Stakes.
Maher said the three-year-old had always shown ability.
"Bon Aurum has always been a strong colt, he’s really fit and he was able to get the job done,” Maher said.
"He’s a big strong horse and he’ll take a lot of benefit and improvement out of today's win."
Bon Aurum picked up $72,000 in stake money for his win.
