OPTUS has announced plans to upgrade its mobile phone base station near Tower Hill with new antennas and radio communications dish to expand coverage.

The telco has called for public submissions by August 29.
“Optus is preparing for upgrades to our mobile network in Koroit,” a spokesman said.
“We are also looking at other areas in the region to expand our network. These planned upgrades will bring 4G technology to Optus customers.
"The 4G will maximise coverage and capacity and allow customers with enabled mobile phones and tablets to experience superfast internet speeds.”
