This year is no exception. When the 12,000-strong crowd turns up on December 12-14 at the Supernatural Amphitheatre (located just outside the sleepy town of Meredith) they will be in for a treat.
Joining The War On Drugs, who were the first act announced, will be hip hop heroes De La Soul, rich-voiced veteran Mark Lanegan, buzzworthy young rocker Ty Segall, legendary Jamaican band The Skatalites, iconic Aussies Augie March, stoner-rock pioneers Sleep, "techno sorcerer" James Holden, awesome alt-rockers Cloud Nothings, '90s favourites The Lemonheads, Wu Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah, guitar goddess Mia Dyson, the legendary Painters & Dockers, and punk stalwarts The Hard-Ons.
But that's not all - there's also critical darling Phosphorescent, the Bollywood-meets-Funkadelic melange of The Bombay Royale, hyped London trio Factory Floor, Kiwi singer-songwriter Tiny Ruins, funky Melbourne ensemble The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Brisbane live specialists Blank Realm, techno duo Misty Nights, indie poster Teeth & Tongue, deep house artist Vakula, old soul Marlon Williams, and local DJ Dr Phil Smith.
The ticket ballot process is underway. Tickets will be as rare as emu teeth, as per usual. More bands are expected to be added to the already overflowing line-up.
