He wants non-profit groups to come up with ideas to dress up empty spaces and promote their organisation between now and the summer holidays.
Two years ago he sparked some window displays in Lava, Liebig and Timor streets premises, now he’s keen to expand.
“This can bring life to empty shops with attractive and meaningful themes,” he said on Friday.
“The only opposition we had last time was from non-local landlords who weren’t keen to co-operate.”
Mr Suggett, a long-time Warrnambool resident, said the increasing number of vacant premises was a sad reflection on the city.
