WDFNL wrap: Blues upset Cats on the road

NIRRANDA have pulled off a major upset with a 16 point win over Allansford at the Allansford Recreation Reserve on Saturday.

The Blues recovered from a 17 point half time deficit to come home strong and grab their eighth win of the season.

While the Blues will not make the finals, the loss for the Cats has put a dint in their top three hopes.

Allansford have dropped to fifth on the ladder with just two rounds to play.

Old Collegians have jumped form fifth to fourth with their 88 point win over East Warrnambool.

Dennington were comfortable 50 point winners over Kolora Noorat while South Rovers were too good for Deakin University winning by 91 points.

And the Timboon Demons won their fourth game for the season when they prevailed in a thriller over Russells Creek.

The Demons won by four points despite having six less scoring shots than the Kangaroos.

Tomorrow Merrivale host Panmure to complete round 16 action.
