TWENTY-SEVEN kindergarten kids were left distraught Wednesday morning after vandals damaged a guinea pig pen at Portland's Kalbarri Kindergarten, resulting in the escape of two guinea pigs.

The two pets - named Kal and Barri - have been at the kinder for four years and are part of the sensory learning section, as well as teaching the children about responsibility.
The guinea pigs are both male - one is black and white and the other is black, white and tan.
The matter has been reported to police. The pets were last seen at 3am Tuesday.
