It is lower than Murray Goulburn’s opening price announced yesterday at $6 per kilogram of milk solids but WCB chief executive David Lord said it was equal to company’s highest-ever price.
The announcement is the first time WCB has declared an opening price since being taken over by Montreal-based corporation Saputo earlier this year.
