The Eagles' season is back on track after a 41-28 win over SMW Rovers last Saturday at Mininera.
It was the Eagles' second win for the season with their last coming way back in round one.
In between, their only other joy has come when they got two points for a round-three draw with Woorndoo-Mortlake.
This Saturday they are up against sixth-place Tatyoon, the team directly above the Eagles on the ladder. Tatyoon and fourth and fifth-placed Glenthompson-Dunkeld and Penshurst all sit 10 points ahead of the Eagles.
If the Eagles can pinch victory this week they will creep a little closer with still plenty of the season to come.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur coach Maureen McGrath said finals were still on her radar.
"If we can start to string a few games togther then we are still a chance," McGrath said.
"We played really well against Rovers. Everyone did their part in what was really tough conditions with it raining all day. Ella Martin was really good for us in the win. She played wing attack, wing defence and in the centre: she is our most versatile player."
McGrath said the Eagles were hoping to get back former player Emily Hausler within the next fortnight to add to their midcourt depth.
The Eagles had a big day on the netball court against SMW Rovers winning all five games. The B-grade team won 40-24 with Laura Addinsall the best player, while Mandy O'Connell was best player in the C grade team's 28-13 win.
The Eagles won the under 17s with a 24-14 victory with Casey Pye the best and in the under 13s the Eagles won 25-6 with wing attack Abbey Kelly the best.
