The juniors, participants at Auskick clinics across the city, played small-sided matches at the Reid, Walter and Mack ovals on Sunday.
The annual match day is into its 10th year in Warrnambool and again proved a hit with the players, their parents and grandparents. Alan Thompson, AFL Victoria’s football development manager for the Western District, said the players were able to show off skills they had learnt at their clinics.
“The imitation of the AFL players and the quality of the footy by some of these young boys and girls was exceptional,” he said.
