The council is hosting an open weekend following on from last month’s Victorian Regional Living Expo in Melbourne.
More than 10,000 visitors attended the expo and the shire’s stand made more than 230 new contacts.
One couple has already moved to Branxholme and this week opened a business.
A further 11 families have accepted an invitation to attend a range of activities designed to showcase the opportunities on offer for new residents to the shire.
A function will be held at the Hamilton Visitor Information Centre tomorrow evening, with representatives from industry, health, education and community groups available to provide more general information.
A bus tour on Sunday will showcase the variety of facilities and lifestyle options available in the shire.
The Hamilton Regional Business Association has been working closely with council to assist with the promotion.
