The children’s story combined a CD of lullabies by jazz musician Sue Johnson with Elizabeth Honey’s tale of a young boy who’s not sleepy at bedtime.
Honey will be hosting a free storytime session based on the book at the Portland library tomorrow from 11am, followed by two workshops at the Drill Hall from 1pm and 2.30pm.
The first is for kids aged six to nine, while the second is aimed at nine-year-olds to 12-year-olds.
Then from 6.30pm tomorrow, the Portland Arts Centre will host a performance of I’m Still Awake, Still!, featuring Ms Ivory Tinklefinger playing her lullabies on a grand piano and inadvertently conjuring two mischievous boys who don’t want to go to bed.
The 45-minute play will be followed by director Jessica Wilson presenting a 30-minute workshop for kids and adults.
Bookings can be made at the arts centre on 5522 2263.
