The Red Cross is pleading for new donors to step forward and fill cancellations made by people struck down with the illness.
“The flu is definitely affecting the Warrnambool Donor Centre,” Red Cross Blood Service spokeswoman Sarah McKendrick said.
“In the next four weeks, Warrnambool alone needs almost 200 more donors to fill both whole blood and plasma appointments.”
New donors can call 13 14 95 or visit donateblood.com.au
