Dennington police raid nets weapons

A DENNINGTON man was arrested yesterday morning on weapons and ammunition charges after a dawn raid.

Senior Constable Martin Howells of Warrnambool police said the 49-year-old man was arrested after a police raid at 6.50am on premises in Tylden Street, Dennington.

Police said the raid uncovered various types of bullets and ammunition, as well as an expandable baton.

The man was bailed to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on September 22.
