Port Fairy yesterday paid $500 to the Hampden Football Netball League in asking for an investigation into an incident in the third quarter of the game at Hamilton’s Melville Oval.
The Seagulls said the incident related to an alleged sling tackle by Uebergang that left 19-year-old Sam Martin concussed, ruling him out of today’s match against South Warrnambool.
HFNL chief executive officer Mike Farrow said the matter would be handed to an AFL Vic Country Western District investigations officer. He will have 21 days to explore the matter before making a recommendation to the league.
