A FORUM looking at how to reduce family violence affecting children in Aboriginal families will be held today in Warrnambool for south-west residents.

It will be hosted by the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria which hopes to generate community discussion on issues that trigger contact with the child protection system.
“More and more children are being removed from their families and cultural ties are being broken,” the service’s chief executive Antoinette Braybrook said. “The situation is critical and must be given priority by government.”
