A 48-year-old cyclist from Warrnambool was hit by a truck on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on Thursday morning.

Police said the man, who is holidaying in the area, was riding with another person in Tewantin, near Noosa, when he was hit by a 3.5-tonne truck about 7.45am.
He was flung onto the windscreen of the truck and sustained chest injuries.
A Queensland police spokesman said the cyclist was flown in a RACQ CareFlight chopper to the Nambour Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
