Mortlake Road reopens after works

TRAFFIC  is flowing again on Warrnambool’s  busy Mortlake Road roundabout after a week of  closure to allow installation of a major new stormwater culvert.

However, periodic traffic disruptions will continue until the end of next month as part of a $3 million  project to reduce flooding to more than 750 properties and 100 buildings.

Warrnambool City infrastructure development and projects manager Justin Hinch said motorists had been patient.

“Diversions worked well and people were understanding,” he said.
