After two months of refurbishing work, Warrnambool’s ANZ bank has settled into its new home on the opposite side of Liebig Street.
Branch manager Andrew Morris said the bank had outgrown it’s former site.
“We were just getting to the stage where we needed to look for bigger premises. The business centre has moved to a different premises and the branch itself is now a bigger branch,” Mr Morris said.
“We’ve got 11 staff that work here.
“We’ve told all the customers but there’s still a few people out there who don’t realise we’ve crossed the street.”
The move hasn’t been without teething issues — a set of automatic doors were taking more than a moment to open.
“They’ve been better adjusted,” assured Mr Morris.
Along with some new “smart technology” off-street ATMs, the bank has also brought across its relics, such as signature books dating back to 1912.
The ANZ Bank will also celebrate its 160th milestone in Warrnambool this year.
