AN extensive manhunt will have a sequel in court this morning with a Warrnambool man appearing charged with assaulting police and breaching an intervention order.

Police were initially called to a Warrnambool address at 12.30am Wednesday when a neighbour alerted officers that a woman was seeking refuge in her home after a man breached an intervention order.
Police attended, the 41-year-old man failed to co-operate, capsicum spray was deployed to little effect and the man allegedly threw a bottle which struck an officer.
The officer was hit to the leg and suffered minor injuries including bruising and swelling.
The man then fled and was unable to be located by police until yesterday afternoon when he was arrested.
He was remanded in custody overnight to appear in he Warrnambool Magistrates Court today charged with a range of offences including assaulting police and breaching an intervention order.
