An alarm was activated about 1am and police officers found the girl walking along Morriss Road carrying lollies and other items.
She was arrested and taken to the police station, where she was interviewed and cautioned before being released.
It is understood the front glass door of the milkbar was broken and attempts made to open a cigarette cabinet and cash register.
