More than 100 past and present members are expected to attend the event on Monday evening, including several veteran firefighters who joined the brigade when it was established in 1954.
CFA long-service medals will be awarded at the Camperdown event with memorabilia from the brigade’s early years of operation.
Weerite CFA secretary Brian Boyd said the brigade had worked with other communities to fight major bushfires including Black Saturday in 2009 and Ash Wednesday in 1983.
