A competition is being held for business owners to decorate their shop fronts featuring Relay For Life’s colour, purple.
Corangamite Relay For Life chairwoman Trish Wynd said this was the first year the group had organised the competition.
“We invite people to register and support the businesses,” she said.
Mrs Wynd said decorated shop fronts in the shire helped to raise awareness of the event.
“It is getting the message out there for everyone to help support us,” she said.
“It will jog people’s memory to enter.”
This year the event will be held at the Timboon Recreation Reserve on Saturday, March 29 from 5pm. Registrations are now open for unique event where teams of 10-15 people challenge themselves in a relay style overnight run or walk.
More than $500,000 has been raised by the Corangamite Relay for Life group over the past four years.
Anyone interested in registering can ring 5593 7136 during business hours or 5597 9219 after hours.
