First Constable Tim McHutchison of Cobden police said he understood the cement truck driver was taken to Camperdown hospital for treatment but was not believed to be seriously injured.
The accident happened yesterday morning on the Cobden-Stoneyford Road at its intersection with Shenfields Lane at Bullaharre, east of Cobden.
First Constable McHutchison said the truck, which was empty at the time, spun around and tipped over after the driver took action to avoid hitting the car.
The Cobden-Stoneyford Road was closed until 4pm while a crane and a heavy haulage vehicle were used to get the truck upright and take it away.
First Constable McHutchison said the driver of the car was issued with a penalty notice for failing to give way.
