Tournament organiser Don Higgins said the standard of play between teams across the four senior grades was the closest the four-day tournament had seen for years.
Mr Higgins said numbers were slightly down on last year but the club was still pleased with having more than 100 players take part in the senior grades and about 50 in the junior grades.
In the men’s A grade, Barry’s Dropshots were the victors, defeating Geelong Lawn four rubbers to zero, eight sets to love and 48 games to 13.
It was much closer in the men’s A reserve, in which Dribbles defeated Good Old Boys. Each team won two rubbers but Dribbles claimed six sets to five.
Hard Court Sets defeated Quicksilver in men’s B grade three rubbers to one, five sets to two and 39 games to 29.
The women’s A grade was won by Warrnambool Indoor, beating Warrnambool Lawn.
Each team won two rubbers but Warrrnambool Indoor scored five sets to four and 35 games to 29.
Warrnambool Indoor comprised Jill Bosse, Julie MacDonald, Marg Sinclair and Judy Wilde.
The runner-up, Warrnambool Lawn, included Sarah Milroy, Lauren Hall, Danielle Higgins and Rachel O’Connor.
About 14 teams took part in the tournament’s junior competition but its grand finals results were not available last night.
