A grab-bag of prejudices

Steve McNeilly (The Standard, February 9) — it’s very concerning to have a leader of a portion of our city population connecting a rotting whale carcass with the appalling grab-bag of Islam, abortion, teen sex, gay lifestyle and pornography.

Couldn’t this unfortunate former whale have also conjured up visions of hunger, war, homelessness and, heaven forbid, child abuse in Christian institutions?

Maybe the pestilence of fires and floods could have come to mind as suitable comparisons?
