A CAR plunged off an embankment and landed near train tracks at Geelong this morning, seriously injuring the car's four occupants and halting trains on the Geelong-Warrnambool line.

The car was travelling west along Little Malop Street about 5.15am when it failed to stop at the end of the road.
The car careered off the embankment and landed beside train tracks about 10 meters below.
Three men aged in their 20s have been taken to the Geelong Hospital with serious injuries, while a fourth man sustained life threatening injuries and was also taken to the Geelong Hospital.
V/Line has confirmed the 11:30am service from Warrnambool and the 1pm service from Melbourne will be replaced by buses.
Passengers on this morning's 5.33am Warrnambool service were taken by buses to Melbourne.
The 7.19am train from Melbourne to Warrnambool service was replaced with buses.
