THE Warrnambool and District Cricket Association has named a 34-player under 13 training squad for representative honours.

The squad, named by the association’s under 13 coach Jayaweera Bandara and director of junior cricket Gordon McLeod, was assembled after feedback from club coaches based on players’ performances so far this season.
Those chosen will trial for places in the association’s under 13 team to contest the Portland Country Week from January 21-23.
McLeod said squad members would be put through their paces at Action Cricket next Thursday from 4.30pm. He said the association would also assess members in the squad for inclusion in its junior development squad for next year.
