Keppel Prince lost a tender to build 64 towers for a proposed wind farm at Mount Mercer, putting over 100 jobs at risk.
The Australian Manufacturers Workers Union (AMWU) will organise a public forum at the Portland Angling Club on Thursday at 7pm.
AMWU organiser Mark Solly said representatives from both wind energy groups and trade unions would address the meeting.
“It’s all about local jobs — we’re encouraging anyone who is interested to come along,” Mr Solly said.
Keppel Prince general manager Steve Garner warned up to 100 jobs were at risk if the company could not secure another contract in South Australia by April next year.
