The Camperdown golf club had 52 golfers on the course last Saturday.
Good dry conditions greeted the golfers for the day.
The men's competition was an 18 hole stroke event
for the monthly medal, also incorporating a putting competition. The best nett score for the day goes into the medal of medalists for the 12 monthly winners later on in the year.
A grade men's winner was Simon Baker with a 1 over par score of 73-3-70. The runner up to Simon was Mr consistency, Peter Skene 85-14-71. Peter has made a brilliant return to golf after a long layoff.
The B grade winner and medalist winner in a count back, Richard Narik 91-21-70.
Runner up was Greg Teal 89-18-71
The putting competition was won by Simon Baker with 27 putts
Other good scores for the day were Bernie Sinnott nett 73, Darren Cheeseman nett 73, Eddie Lucas nett 73, Brian Fitzgerald nett 74, Gary Thompson nett 74, Sam Walsh nett 75 and Tim Fitzgerald nett 75.
The ladies competed in a stableford event. Tracey Baker had a great round on a handicap of 40 returning a score of 42pts. The runner up was Vicki Fitzgerald 22 handicap with 35pts.
The event for this Saturday will be a 2 man ambrose, drawn partners.
