The fifth and final NAIDOC Celebrations live stream at the Pluto Entertainment studio in Taree will be held tonight (November 27) from 7pm. Local Aboriginal talent has graced the stage this week to celebrate NAIDOC Week and Biripui culture. Performers on the first two nights included Buyigi Didge ensemble, Girambit Wangal, Shaylee Jordan, Saunders Sisters, Jay Davis, Russell Saunders, Fiona Corcoran, Tyler Williams and Elijah Lawler. Photos of these performers can be viewed in the gallery above. The concert series replaces the annual, and popular, Taree High School NAIDOC Night. Forced to go online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new alternative to stream through Pluto Entertainment has worked wonders, with hundreds of viewers commenting and watching from the comfort of their homes. Each live stream runs about 50 minutes, with each replay still available on the Pluto Entertainment Facebook page. Thank you for valuing local journalism with your subscription.
