Tax Manager

Our client is a second tier public practice firm operating for more than 100 years that provides a suite of business services including tax, audit and assurance and corporate advisory to private and publicly listed companies, not for profits and individuals but with a particular focus on the middle market ($10 million to $1 billion).

Your new role

Our client is seeking a tax associate to support the growing business and work alongside the Director to improve the performance of existing systems and workflows, leading to higher efficiency, profitability and best practice of compliance. You will assist the team in the day to day running of the operations through:

• Providing transactional tax advice to diverse range of clients within a range of industries domestically and internationally
• Strategic business planning for the Tax Services division
• Career development of team including regular performance appraisals
• Strong client engagement and business development skills
• High accountability and productivity in meeting budgets and goals for the team and individually

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary degree
• One or more post-graduate qualification (CA, CTA and/or Masters of Tax preferred)
• Proven managerial experience in a previous tax advisory role
• Strong client engagement and technical skills
• Tax strategy implementation and project management experience (advantageous)
