This State Government organisation is seeking a Social Programs and Place Manager to join them on a full-time basis for 12 months based in Sydney CBD.
Your new role
Your primary purpose will be to create innovative solutions to support people experiencing homelessness. You will work alongside homelessness organisations and other social services to develop strategy focusing on improvements to spaces around Sydney CBD and additional facilities such as acquiring funding from external stakeholders. A crucial part of your role will be to research and assess changes in homelessness policy and other social issues while conducting further information from stakeholders such as planning, facilitating, and analysing data recommendations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in social sciences or equivalent experience while being able to demonstrate knowledge of social issues within Sydney including homelessness as you will have a minimum of five year’ experience delivering services to people experiencing such social issues. Along with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to understand and build effective working relations with a range of stakeholders which can include the Government as well as the NGO sector.

This role provides a chance for you to assist this state government department throughout a pivotal period of change in a 12-month assignment (possibility to extend to a total of 18-months for the right person). You will be offered a competitive market rate. The working arrangements will be a mixture of working from home and the office.
