CLINICIAN - LEAP (headspace)

The Senior Mental Health Clinician
is responsible for the engagement,
assessment, coordination and delivery of
the Learning Early Assistance Programme
(LEAP); an early intervention and time
limited specialised assessment and
treatment service for young people 12 –
25 years in Warrnambool who experience
emerging or current mental health
problems; have a persistent and enduring
mental illness, including severe mental
illness; and aid their recovery.
Central to the role is ensuring the program
model and service plan deliver flexible
approaches including home-based
care, outreach, streamlined access to
inpatient and sub-acute services, access
to appropriate community supports,
continuing care management and
psychological interventions.
The role will also be responsible for
ensuring all services provided are
responsive to issues of diversity and
intersectionality.
headspace PEER WORKER
(FAMILY & FRIENDS)
Warrnambool Based - 0.4EFT
The Peer Worker: Family and Friends will
be an integral member of the Youth
Early Intervention Team that provides
short-term services to meet the needs
of young people, 12 to 25, experiencing
mild to moderate mental health needs
who would benefit from a range of shortterm
early-intervention supports to build
the knowledge and skills to improve and
maintain their mental wellbeing and
resilience, and encourage early helpseeking.
They will give a voice to issues related
to families of young people accessing
headspace Warrnambool services and
will act as a positive and empathetic role
model for families and friends seeking
support at headspace.
ORANGE DOOR POSITIONS
The Orange Door provides a new way for women, children and young people
experiencing family violence, and families who need assistance with the care
and wellbeing of children to access the services they need to be safe and
supported.
