Three of the properties offered by Ray White sold in advance, while three were sold at the Wednesday night auction at Lady Bay Resort.
Those sold on the night included a modern four-bedroom house on 0.64 hectares (1.6 acres) at 42 Cilmery Crescent, Woodford, which sold for $555,000.
Also finding a buyer was a two-bedroom unit at 6 Yewya Street, off Aberline Road, in Warrnambool’s east.
The brand new townhouse sold for $275,000.
A 5644 square metre block of land at 20 Ians Road, off Wangoom Road, sold for $239,000. The block is in Warrnambool’s growth corridor and has rural lifestyle or subdivision potential.
Warrnambool properties sold prior to the auction were 4 Brolga Court, 2 Ormsby Court and lot 1 Wentworth Street.
Passed in at Wednesday night’s auction was a property at 1016 Ayresford Road, Taroon, near Terang.
The property has a reproduction Victorian three-bedroom home on 3.2 hectares (eight acres).
Ray White Warrnambool director Jess Densley said the outcome of Wednesday night’s auction was one of the best this year.
Ray White Warrnambool has run the monthly group auctions for the past two years.
Mr Densley said the regular auctions were proving they were a good method to sell properties in a challenging market. He said properties listed for auction, which included those that sold before and after auction, were on the market in Warrnambool for an average of 45 days, compared with the average of 119 days on the market for properties sold by private sale.
He said the latest auction attracted more than 50 people.
