Show secretary Libby Van Donk said even though she was busy helping run Saturday's event she and many others enjoyed themselves.
"I had a ball, I'm still on cloud nine," she said yesterday.
"It was just completely positive. A lot of people couldn't believe what a good day they had and the weather was just sensational.
"I'm not sure of the official crowd numbers but the trade stands, cattle and competition entries were all up and the sheep were also strong."
Ms Van Donk said one of the show highlight at the Simpson Recreation Reserve was the animal nursery.
"It was just exceptional. There were parents having to drag kids out so they could look at the rest of the show. Julie Barake did a great job with the assistance of the Cudgee Wildlife Park, there was an excellent combination of native and exotic animals," she said.
"There's a few people I need to especially thank for their effort in assisting the show to go on, Alan and Helen O'Neil, Ken Woodmason, Andrew Whiting, April Janssen, past secretary Kylie Treble, Gordon Robertson and Ian Laurenson.
"The other highlights included the Punch and Judy show, the pro wrestlers were also popular and the barrel race between a two-wheel and three-wheel motorbike and a quarter horse. The two-wheel motorbike won but I think the quarter horse is keen to come back for another go next year," she said.
