POLICE have arrested a 38-year-old Portland man after finding drugs at his home this morning. Sergeant Martin Flannery, of Portland police, said officers attended the man's Palmer Street address after obtaining a search warrant. Police found an undisclosed number of "illegal tablets" and some other drugs, Sergeant Flannery said. The man was awaiting a bail hearing yesterday afternoon but was expected to be released pending a court appearance.Sergeant Flannery said the man was likely to be charged with two counts of drug trafficking and one count of possessing a drug of dependence.A number of pieces of drug paraphernalia were seized as well as some cash, he said.
