THE laughs keep coming for Triple J radio show host Alex Dyson who is set to make a splash at this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival.Dyson, 20, is juggling his final year of university, his weekend breakfast radio show with fellow Warrnambool comedian Tom Ballard and preparing for the comedy festival. It might sound exhausting to most but it's all part of his elaborate plan to avoid having to do any 'real' work."I'm feeling a bit nervous about finishing uni, 'workforce' has never been a word I've liked," he joked."The radio show is going really well, it's early but fun. "I still have to set two alarms to make sure I get up but if they'll have me, I'll be happy to stay there."Less then two weeks before he makes his debut at the Melbourne comedy festival, Dyson said the final touches were now being put on the sketch show Occupation: Ugly. The show is the combined effort of some of Melbourne's brightest young stars who formed the comedy group Comedicate following last year's Melbourne Uni Law Revue.Joining up with Comedicate for their festival performance, Dyson has been busily working on the show since November."It's a bit of a sketch comedy show, it's a bit of irreverent silliness," he said."We're just hoping to make people laugh - we've got a few songs, a dance or two and a few bizarre characters." Occupation: Ugly will be at the RMIT Kaleide Theatre, Swanston Street, throughout the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from April 2.
