DETECTIVES in Colac have arrested a man after raiding his Melbourne home to seize computers and hard drives.
The officers are part of the recently-formed Taskforce Astraea set up to address an increase in online child exploitation, with a focus on people who groom and procure children through the internet for sexual purposes.
On Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at the 53-year-old man’s home around 7.30am and then arrested him in Colac around 11am.
He was released pending further enquiries.
