Lotto winner lives "south-west of Melbourne"

ONE of the three winning tickets of last night's massive $70 million Oz Lotto jackpot was sold in the region south-west of Melbourne.

The winner has picked up $24,952,195.76 overnight, along with the holders of two other tickets sold in western Sydney and an Adelaide suburb.

A Tatts spokeswoman this morning would not yet confirm the location where the winning south-west ticket was sold, saying the policy was in the interests of protecting the winner's privacy immediately after the draw.

The total division one prize pool grew from $70 million to $74.8 million as a result of strong interest and ticket sales.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto's $70 million draw (951) were 17, 8, 28, 34, 41, 42 and 6, with the supplementary numbers 4 and 19.

Oz Lotto will offer a $2 million division one prize in next week's draw.

Lotto players still have an opportunity to win big this week with a $20 million Powerball jackpot tomorrow and a $20 million Superdraw on Saturday.
