South West, Mininera and Western Border footy wrap-up

IT was a fairly even round in South West District League matches, with no team suffering too heavy a loss.

The Westerns continued their undefeated run, beating Tyrendarra 14.16 (100) to 11.8 (74). Branxholme Wallacedale went down by 28 points, 9.13 (67) to Sandford's 13.17 (95). Dartmoor accounted for Heathmere, 10.16 (76) to 8.10 (58) and Heywood defeated Coleraine, 11.8 (74) to 7.10 (52).

In the Mininera league, ladder leader Tatyoon demolished league newcomer Great Western by 300 points. Great Western failed to get a score on the board going down 0.0 to the Hawks' 46.24 (300). Penshurst beat Caramut 21.11 (137), Hawkesdale Macarthur defeated Ararat 18.13 (121) to 11.9 (75) and Moyston Willaura delivered Wickliffe Lake Bolac a 127-point thrashing, with the Magpies going down 5.4 (34) to 23.23 (161). SMW Rovers defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld by one point, 12.15 (87) to 12.14 (86) and Lismore Derrinallum beat Woorndoo Mor tlake 23.14 (152) to 12.10 (82).

In Western Border League , North Gambier defeated Hamilton Imperials 14.10 (94) to 10.14 (74), South Gambier delivered a 115-point thrashing to Casterton 30.8 (188) to 11.7 (73) and East Gambier defeated Hamilton, 16.16 (122) to 8.6 (54).
