A WARRNAMBOOL police officer was taken to hospital after she was assaulted last night.
The incident occurred after police attended a domestic dispute at a service station on Mortlake Road around 6.30pm.
Victoria Police media said a 33-year-old Warrnambool woman hit the constable in the face, causing minor injuries.
The female police officer was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital for treatment.
The offender is likely to be charged with assaulting police.
